After apprenticing separately with several of Florida's leading design and architectural firms and completing a wide range of projects, William (Bill) and Phyllis Taylor decided in 1983 to meld their considerable experience and talent into their own partnership: Taylor & Taylor Inc. Together Taylor & Taylor have created award-winning and widely published projects throughout Florida, the Eastern Seaboard and the Caribbean, as seen in Metropolitan Home, Coastal Living, Florida Architecture, Florida Design, the Miami Herald, the Robb Report, among others. The Taylor's also released their first book in 2014, "Classic Florida Style: The Houses of Taylor & Taylor," which features stunning photography of 10 recent projects that reinforce the partners signature lush, tropical design aesthetic.
At the Miami Showhouse, Taylor & Taylor will reimagine the space at the Pavillion at the Point. Bill recently shared that he believes that "The Kampong is to Miami as the song Bali Hai is to the classic film 'South Pacific,' mysterious, exotic, completely hidden in full view. Our exotic elephant pavilion is a nod to the wonders of East Asia which because of the lives and generosity of the Fairchild’s, can be discovered right here on the shore of Biscayne Bay."
